Ink!
The other day I ground up some Chinese sumi ink with an ink stick and ink stone. It's my favorite ink to use if I have the time to prepare it! It gets so rich and dark after about a half hour. There's something that feels grounding and just...human about making something from scratch whether it's a pie or your art supplies.

I filled up a page with some fresh ink doodles, scanned the whole paper and digitally separated the sections to move them around and collage.
